چکیده

Objective: Streptomycin is the preferred choice for therapy of plague in China and other countries. However, Yersinia pestis exhibiting plasmid-mediated antimicrobial agent–resistant traits had been reported Madagascar. In this study, we evaluated susceptibility traditional or newer agents used treatment and/or prophylaxis plague. Methods: Following Clinical Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) recommendations, 12 was by agar microdilution method 1,012 strains Y. isolated from 1943 to 2017 natural foci China. Results: One clinical isolate (S19960127) found be highly resistant streptomycin, while strain still sensitive 11 antibiotics, that is, ciprofloxacin, ofloxacin, kanamycin, chloramphenicol, ampicillin, ceftriaxone, cefuroxime, trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole, tetracycline, spectinomycin moxifloxacin. The remaining 1,011 study demonstrated above-mentioned agents. Conclusion: Antimicrobial sensitivity surveillance isolates, including dynamic monitoring streptomycin resistance during various treatments, should carried out routinely.

Susceptibilities of Yersinia pestis strains to 12 antimicrobial agents.

Ninety-two strains of Yersinia pestis recovered over a 21-year period were evaluated for susceptibility to traditional and newer antimicrobial agents. In vitro resistance was noted only against rifampin and imipenem (approximately 20% of strains). The most active compounds (MIC at which 90% of the isolates tested are inhibited) against Y. pestis were cefixime, ceftriaxone, trimethoprim-sulfamet...

Antibiotic susceptibilities of 94 isolates of Yersinia pestis to 24 antimicrobial agents.

Ninety-four isolates of Yersinia pestis collected by the French army between 1964 and 1988 were evaluated for their susceptibilities to 24 antibiotics by the agar dilution method. All the isolates were susceptible to beta-lactam antibiotics including imipenem, to fluoroquinolones, aminoglycosides and to doxycycline. The most active compounds were fluoroquinolone antibiotics, third-generation ce...

Susceptibility of Yersinia pestis to novel and conventional antimicrobial agents.

OBJECTIVES To determine the susceptibility of southern African strains of Yersinia pestis to novel as well as conventional antimicrobial agents. MATERIALS AND METHODS The MICs of 28 strains of Yersinia pestis from a southern African plague focus were determined by agar dilution. RESULTS The most active agents were cefditoren and the fluoroquinolones, both conventional and novel. The in vitr...

Asymptomatic Yersinia pestis Infection, China

Salmonella infection may be increased by alterations in the gastrointestinal tract, including decreased gastric acidity and chronic gastrointestinal disease. Leukocytosis was noted in 25% of patients. In fact, two thirds of the patients had a normal leukocyte count with immature leukocytes, which may be attributable to their relatively impaired cell-mediated immunity. The predominant organism i...

In vitro susceptibilities of zygomycetes to combinations of antimicrobial agents.

Combinations of antimicrobial agents were tested against 35 strains of zygomycetes. The interaction between amphotericin B and rifampin was synergistic or additive. Flucytosine alone was inactive and, upon combination with amphotericin B, synergy was not achieved. The combination of amphotericin B with terbinafine was synergistic for 20% of strains, and the interaction between terbinafine and v...
